Footmonkey Podiatry is a healthcare company providing podiatry services on a fee paying basis to the public

Why are we asking you for your information?

We do need to ask you about certain things, like your medical history, as it affects your health wellbeing and feet. I want to ensure you the best possible treatment when you visit us and to do this we need you to be honest with us about your health and lifestyle. We are required by law to keep records of your treatments and this information forms part of this.

What we are going to do with your information?

We process personal information to enable us to provide health services to our patients, to maintain our accounts and records and to promote our services. We process information relevant to this. The information may include:

  • personal details
  • family details
  • lifestyle and social circumstances
  • goods and services purchased from our company
  • financial transaction details
We also process sensitive information that may include:
  • physical or mental health details
  • racial or ethnic origin

Sometimes it is necessary to share some of your information.

Primarily with you (our patient) and also with our reception service so that they can help you make your appointments. Where necessary or required we also share information with other healthcare professionals (such as your GP), your parent/guardian (if you are a minor) or your welfare guardian or carer (with your consent) if you require additional support to attend us. When we do have to share your data, we are required to comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act (DPA) and are registered with the Information Controllers Office (ICO).

How do we store your data?

my practice went digital in August 2015 and your records are all securely stored in line with the law. Some of our data is stored outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and these servers are all compliant with the relevant data protection laws.

I want to remove my information from your company, how can I do that?

If you contact the data controller Gwyn then he will be happy to explain your options. We are legally required to keep your medical records for a set period of time and this varies for different groups of people.

What happens to my data when I contact you through your website or social media pages?

If you are contacting us through these methods then your data will be used to help answer your enquiry. Your details will only be registered with us if you then go on to register as a patient. Your details may be shared with our reception service if appropriate to complete your enquiry.

Does your website store information on my computer?

Yes we do have cookies on our website which will stay on your computer and our IP address may be stored in your system too (depending on your settings).
